Prospera Launches $5K Crypto Tax Residency Program for Digital Nomads
Prospera, a semi-autonomous special economic zone on Honduras' Roatan Island, has unveiled a flat $5,000 annual tax residency program targeting cryptocurrency professionals and digital nomads. The initiative allows globally mobile workers to establish legal tax residency while paying a fixed lump sum instead of traditional income taxes.
The program operates under Prospera's Lump Sum Tax Regime, developed in partnership with Nomad Layer, a platform specializing in tax solutions for location-independent earners. "One flat annual payment, full legal tax residency, and everything handled remotely," said Nomad Layer founder Joey Langenbrunner, highlighting the program's appeal to crypto entrepreneurs and remote workers navigating complex cross-border tax obligations.
